BANANa APPLE AND OAT BREAD

An easy to make loaf with oodles of flavour and delicious toasted and dripping with butter.

  1. preheat oven to 180c. grease and line bottom of a large loaf tin.
  2. mash 1 banana.
  3. using an electric mixer, lightly mix the mashed banana, eggs, milk and oil.
  4. beat in the sugar.
  5. add in the flour, oats and baking powder, beating until well combined.
  6. slice the 2 remaining bananas and peel, core and chop the apple.
  7. place half the batter into the tin and top with the sliced banana and apple. sprinkle with the cinnamon then top with the rest of the batter.
  8. cook for 50 - 60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. if browning too fast, cover with some foil.
  9. cool in the tin for 30 minutes then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. serve toasted.
  11. NOTE:can also used 8 chunks of canned apple, chopped instead of the fresh apple.
