Baking Mix (Alternative to Bisquick)

I have been trying to reduce the packaged ingredients we use in our kitchen. This baking mix substitutes well for Bisquick in recipes that require it.

• Yields: 10-12 cups baking mix

Ingredients

• 10  cups all-purpose flour (not self-rising or wheat)
• 1⁄3 cup baking powder
• 4  teaspoons salt
• 2  cups shortening

Directions

1. Combine all dry ingredients, then add shortening and blend until well combined. Will keep unrefrigerated for 6 months in airtight container.
