A good icing for cakes.

Yields: 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 1⁄2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup  Crisco
  • 1  teaspoon  almond extract
  • 2  egg whites
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

  1. Mix Crisco and sugar.
  2. Add egg whites and beat well.
  3. Add remaining sugar and flavoring.
