Baked Stuffed Mushrooms

This is the only way my family likes to eat mushrooms.

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package white mushrooms, medium sized
  • 6  tablespoons margarine
  • 12 cup  breadcrumbs, plain (or 2 slices bread, torn into little pieces)
  • 14 teaspoon  garlic salt
  • 14 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 14 teaspoon dried basil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Clean mushrooms; remove and finely chop stems.
  3. Place mushroom caps in a shallow baking pan.
  4. Melt margarine in skillet and add chopped stems, bread crumbs and seasonings. Saute about 5 minutes.
  5. Stuff each mushroom cap with bread mixture.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
