Baked Shrimp

Vintage Southern Living; this was very popular back in the 80s, with my group of friends. Very messy and greasy, but that is how we like it. Serve with warm bread to sop up the sauce. Will need lots of napkins. Show more

Ready In: 1 hr

Serves: 6-8

  • 1 (8 ounce) bottle  Italian dressing
  • 2  lemons, juice of

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish; add dressing, lemon juice, and pepper.
  2. Add shrimp to sauce, mixing well.
  3. Bake at 325° for 25-30 minutes, stirring several times; (watch the cooking time because it didn't usually take this long; when the shrimp turn pink, remove one and test for doneness by cutting it in half; if the shrimp are opaque throughout and no longer translucent, they're done).
