Baked Ravioli

Ingredients
- 1 lb cheese ravioli or 1 lb meat ravioli, frozen
- 2 tablespoons Crisco, canola or 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 (375 ml) can Carnation Evaporated Milk, hot (regular, 2% or fat-free)
- 1 1⁄2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1⁄2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1⁄4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Grease an 8x8 baking dish.
- Cool ravioli according to package directions. Drain well and reserve.
- Heat oil in medium pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, dried basil and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring, but do not brown.
- Whisk in hot evaporated milk, and bring to a boil. Add tomato sauce. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often. Add reserved cooked ravioli and mozzarella cheese. Stir to combine. Pour into prepared dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned.
- TIPS: You can use tortellini, gnocchi, or any other of your favorite pastas.
