Baked Acorn Squash

Ingredients
- 2 acorn squash
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon basil
Directions
- Wash squash and cut in half; remove seeds.
- Place cut side down in a shallow baking dish containing water.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Turn cut side up.
- Put 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter in each half.
- Sprinkle with pepper, season all and basil leaves. Return to oven and bake 15 minutes longer.
