  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and brown sugar until sugar dissolves and mixture is well blended.
  2. Stir in water chestnuts and marinate, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Cut bacon slices crosswise in half. Drain water chestnuts and wrap each in a bacon slice; secure with a toothpick.
  5. Arrange on baking sheet and bake until the bacon is nicely browned, 15-20 minutes. Drain and serve warm.
