Bacon Infused Maple Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 1 (15 1/4ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup applesauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Topping
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1⁄4 cup cocoa
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Prepare cupcake pans with paper liners.
- Mix first five ingredients together in a medium sized bowl, beat on low speed for 30 seconds, scrape bowl.
- Beat on medium speed for two minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
- Fold in crumbled bacon.
- Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
- Beat the cream cheese, egg, maple syrup and cocoa, drop one tablespoons on each cupcake.
- Bake for 20-25 mn. until they test done.
- Immediately sprinkle with crumbles bacon.
- Let cool completely and enjoy!
