Bacon and Cheese Salad With Honey Dressing

This is very similar to a salad served at a neighborhood restaurant. I love the combination of the cheese, bacon and honey salad dressing. Prep time includes the overnight refrigeration of the salad dressing.

Ingredients

• 1⁄3 cup honey
• 2⁄3 cup sugar
• 1  teaspoon dry mustard
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 6  tablespoons cider vinegar
• 2  tablespoons lemon juice
• 1  cup  vegetable oil
• 1  tablespoon celery seed
•  romaine lettuce
•  cheddar cheese, shredded
•  bacon, fried, drained and cut in small pieces (Imitation bacon bits may be used)

Directions

1. Mix the first eight ingredients.
2. Refrigerate overnight.
3. Add the shredded cheese and bacon bits to the Romain lettuce and toss.
4. Top with the salad dressing.
