Aunt Renee's Baked Potato Soup

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup potato flakes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 3 cups milk
- 3 large baked potatoes, diced with skin
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt
Directions
- Combine flakes and broth, set aside.
- Heat butter in pan and add flour.
- Add milk and broth mixture.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Simmer until soup is hot and thick.
- Serve topped with shredded cheese, bacon and chives.
- Dip with favorite bread.
