Aunt Phyllis' Orange Praline Yams

This is a delicious dish. I had this for Thanksgiving at Aunt Phyllis'. I've made it too. It's a little more sophisticated than the usual marshmallow variety of yams (but we like that kind too)! That's the problem-we like them all! So many yams, so little time. Show more

  1. In mixing bowl, with electric mixer, beat yams until smooth.
  2. Mix in remaining casserole ingredients, beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Butter a 12 inch baking dish or shallow 2 quart (7 X 11) baking dish and pour in the yam mixture, smoothing top evenly.
  4. Make praline topping by mixing all praline ingredients together in a small bowl.
  5. Spread evenly over the yam mixture and Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
