Apricot Gorgonzola Squares

Another recipe for a not so local Farmers' Market here in our state. Wish I could go to it every Saturday. I've not tried this but don't want to misplace the recipe. Show more

Yields: 12 squares

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) can  refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 4  fresh apricots, chopped
  • 14 cup  apricot preserves
  • 2  tablespoons butter
  • 12 cup gorgonzola, crumbled (2 oz)
  • 12 cup  nuts, chopped
  • 14 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degree.
  2. Spray large cookie sheet with cooking Spray.
  3. Unroll dough; place on cookie sheet.
  4. Press dough into 13x9-inch rectangle.
  5. Firmly press perforations to seal.
  6. In small microwavable bowl, microwave preserves and butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until butter is melted; stir until smooth.
  7. Spread preserves mixture evenly over dough.
  8. Top evenly with chopped apricots, cheese and nuts.
  9. Sprinkle evenly with pepper.
  10. Bake 13 to 19 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown.
  11. Cool 10 minutes.
  12. Cut into 12 squares.
  13. Serve warm.
