Applesauce (Crock Pot)

  1. Spread apple slices in a 3-quart or larger slow-cooker (crock pot).
  2. Sprinkle with sugar; insert cinnamon stick down between apples.
  3. Drizzle with lemon juice.
  4. Cover and cook on low until apples form a thick sauce, about 6 1/2 to 8 hours.
  5. Remove and discard cinnamon stick.
  6. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
