Apples and Baked Beans

Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large pippin apples, cubed
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 2⁄3 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 (24 ounce) cans great northern beans, undrained
Directions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter, then add the apples & cook until tender, about 5 to 8 minutes.
- Stir in the 2 sugars & cook until sugar has melted, about 3 minutes, then stir in the ketchup, cinnamon, molasses & salt.
- Add the beans & mix well, then pour the bean mixture into a slow cooker.
- Cover & cook on HIGH for 2 to 4 hours.
