Apple Spice Custard Cake

Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) package spice cake mix
- 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1⁄3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1 1⁄3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, Eagle Brand (NOT evaporated milk)
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
- Stir in apples.
- Pour batter into well-greased and floured 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- In medium bowl, combine EAGLE BRAND® and sour cream; mix well.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Remove cake from oven; spread sour cream mixture evenly over hot cake.
- Return to oven, bake 5 minutes or until set.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional).
- Cool. Chill. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
