Apple Pudding Sauce

This sauce goes with Apple Pudding and is from the cookbook "Heritage of Cooking" A Collection of Recipes from East Perry County, Missouri. To find out more about this cookbook read the description from the first recipe I posted from it Bier Suppe (Beer Soup).

• Yields: 1 batch of sauce

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup white sugar
• 1  cup water
• 1⁄4 cup butter
• 2  tablespoons flour
• 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Bring sugar, flour, and water to slow boil until clear.
2. Add butter and vanilla.
