Apple-Pork Chop Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1  tablespoon  oil
  •  salt
  •  pepper
  • 8  boneless pork chops (I have used bone-in chops)
  • 2 (6 ounce) packages  herb-flavored  seasoned stuffing mix
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans  apple pie filling

Directions

  1. Heat oil in skillet over med-high heat.
  2. Lightly salt and pepper pork chops.
  3. Cook pork chops in oil until both sides are browned.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare stuffing according to package directions.
  5. Pour pie filling into a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan; lay pork chops on top.
  6. Cover with stuffing.
  7. Bake, uncovered, at 325 for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until pork chops are cooked through.
