Ingredients
- 1 quart sliced apple
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1 dash cinnamon
Topping
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1⁄2 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 cup whole milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Place sliced apples in a 8x10-inch baking dish.
- Mix sugar, flour and vinegar.
- Add water.
- Stir and boil until thick.
- Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients.
- Pour over apples.
- Mix topping ingredients.
- Place over apple mixture.
- Bake 40 minutes.
- Serve with whipped cream.
