Apple Mountain Dew Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1  large granny smith apple, chopped in small pieces
  • 2 (8 count) packages  crescent rolls
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 1  cup butter (best to use real butter)
  • 2  teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 (12 ounce) can  Mountain Dew soda

Directions

  1. Place sugar, cinnamon, and butter in sauce pan.
  2. Heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  3. Separate crescent rolls.
  4. Put approximately 2 teaspoons of apples close to the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll dough to form a crescent.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased 9" x 13" pan.
  7. Pour cinnamon/butter mixture over the crescent rolls.
  8. Pour Mountain Dew over last.
  9. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 35 minutes.
  10. Cool for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
