Apple Ginger Mint Iced Tea

A great icy cold drink for a hot summer day! In the winter, drink it hot! Enjoy!

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 -3  green tea bags (single serving size-I use decaf)
  • 2  inches  piece ginger, grated
  • 14 apple, grated
  • 1 -2  sprig mint
  • 2  cups boiling water
  • 12 cup apple cider (or apple juice)
  • 2  cups  ice, in pitcher
  •  honey, as desired

Directions

  1. Combine tea bags, ginger, apple and mint in a tea pot.
  2. Fill with boiling hot water and steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour and strain into ice-filled pitcher.
  4. Add apple cider and honey as desired.
  5. Fill individual glasses with ice and serve.
