Apple Dumplings

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons shortening, heaping
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- apple
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- butter
Directions
- MIX FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT, AND SHORTENING TOGETHER.
- ADD MILK, AND ROLL 1/8 INCH THICK.
- CUT IN 7 INCH SQUARES. SLICE APPLES, PUT IN CENTER OF EACH SQUART.
- TOP WITH SUGAR, CINNAMON, BUTTER AND SEAL.
- MIX 1 CUP SUGAR, 1 1/2 CUPS WATER AND A LITTLE BUTTER.
- BOIL FOR A FEW MINUTES.
- POUR OVER DUMPLINGS.
- BAKE AT 325 DEGREES FOR 40-45 minutes.
