Apple Crisp

Ingredients
- 4 medium tart apples, sliced
- 1⁄3 cup butter or 1⁄3 cup margarine, melted
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Topping
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1⁄3 cup butter or 1⁄3 cup margarine, softened
- 3⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ice cream, if desired
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°F Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan.
- Let apples soak in the melted butter a few minutes. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl; pour over the apples and mix together. Spread apples in pan.
- In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except cream until well mixed; sprinkle over apples.
- Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.
