Apple Catsup (Ketchup)

A good slightly spicy slightly sweet catsup substitute for those who don't like or can't have tomatoes.

Ingredients

• 4  cups unsweetened applesauce
• 1  teaspoon ginger
• 1  teaspoon cinnamon
• 1  teaspoon clove
• 1  teaspoon mustard
• 1  teaspoon onion powder
• 2  teaspoons salt
• 2  cups vinegar
• 1  teaspoon pepper

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients and bring to a simmer.
2. Simmer over medium low heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.
