Apple and Pear Sauce

Applesauce "kicked-up" a notch or two. Great with your favorite pork dishes.

  1. Core, peel, and chunk apples and pears.
  2. Place in 2-quart sauce pan.
  3. Add apple juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg.
  4. Cover, simmer until chunks are fork tender.
  5. Mash with fork, leaving some chunks.
  6. Add honey to taste.
  7. Serve hot or refrigerated.
