Ann's Corn Chowder

Ingredients
- 1 (17 ounce) can cream-style corn
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄4 lb butter
- crumbled bacon (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
Directions
- Saute onions lightly in butter.
- Add potatoes and water and cook until tender.
- Add corn, milk, salt and pepper.
- Heat, but do not boil.
- Top with crumbled bacon and sour cream, if desired.
- This recipe may be doubled for seconds or for freezing.
