Annie's Secret Chip Cake

I had to twist my friend Annie's arm to get this recipe out of her! UPDATE: 10/13/2008 - I brought this cake to work today as a Congratulations to one of the girls for passing a state exam. Yields: 1 Large Tube Pan

Directions

  1. Prepare (grease and flour) a Tube Pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time.
  4. Add the vanilla.
  5. Add the flour and whipping cream, alternating them.
  6. Stir in the chips.
  7. DO NOT PREHEAT THE OVEN!
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool before icing, if desired. It's yummy without any icing!
