Animal Christmas Cookies

I have not made these myself but my aunt makes them every year and they taste great. I plan on making them this year for the holidays. These are tasty little treats that bring back memories.

• Yields: 24 cookies

Ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
• 1  cup butter
• 4  eggs
• 1  teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 3  cups flour
• 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Chill.
3. Add more flour if necessary.
4. Roll out and cut with animal cutters.
5. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
6. FROSTING FOR HOT COOKIES:.
7. 2 egg whites beaten, add 3/4 lb. powdered sugar and coat while cookies are hot. If frosting has enough sugar in it, it will bake hard on cookies so frost only 3 cookies at a time and decorate kepping rest of cookies hot.
