Angie's Easy Rhubarb-Strawberry Cake

Very easy summertime cake!!!

Serves: 12-16

Yields: 1 9x13 pan

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) box  white cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) box  yellow cake mix
  • 3  eggs (or as called for by your cake mix) or 3  egg whites (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 13 cup  oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 2 -4  cups rhubarb, cut in pieces and engough to cover cake
  • 1 (3 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert

Directions

  1. Prepare cake mix as directed.
  2. Pour into 9x13 or 15x10x1 inch pan.
  3. Drop rhubarb over cake mix.
  4. Sprinkle sugar over rhubarb.
  5. Over this sprinkle 1 small pachage strawberry Jell-o (dry).
  6. Bake at 350F for one hour or until cake is done.
