Angel Cookies

Simple cookie - One of my favorite kinds of cookies!

• Yields: 3 dozen

Ingredients

• 1  cup shortening
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup white sugar
• 1  egg
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 2  cups flour
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 1  teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

1. Cream together shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla.
2. Add dry ingredients (except nuts).
3. Mix well and stir in nuts.
4. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
