Aloha Paradise Bars (Cookie Mix)

Layer tropical pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts to create a delightfully easy bar.

Ingredients

  • 1 (17 1/2ounce) package  betty crocker  sugar cookie mix
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine, softened
  • 1  egg
  • 2  cups  white  vanilla baking chips
  • 1  cup  dried pineapple, coarsely chopped
  • 1  cup flaked coconut
  • 1  cup  macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F
  2. Spray bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  3. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms.
  4. Press dough in bottom of pan.
  5. Bake 15 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with baking chips, pineapple, coconut and nuts.
  7. Drizzle evenly with sweetened condensed milk.
  8. Bake 30 to 35 minutes longer or until light golden brown.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. For bars, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows.
  11. Store covered in refrigerator.
