Almond Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup icing sugar
- 1 egg
- 1⁄8 teaspoon almond essence
- 25 almonds
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 3⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
- Cream the butter and sugar and beat the egg in it
- Mix sifted flour, baking powder and coarsely grounded peeled almonds
- Knead into smooth dough. Chill until firm
- Cut about two dozen slices with the help of the cutter and bake in the oven at 350 degrees F until golden brown in color
- Cool serve at tea.
