All-Purpose Vegan Cheese Sauce

Yields: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 cups water
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 8 ounces pimentos, with liquid
- 3⁄4 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 1⁄4 cup nutritional yeast
Directions
- Add ingredients to blender and puree until very smooth (a good 5-6 mintues). Scrape down sides as you go.
- Add mixture to sauce pan over low to medium low heat.
- Wisk until thickened, about 15-20 minutes.
