After-School Snack Cake

Ingredients
- cake
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄2 cups applesauce
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- frosting
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- milk, to make smooth
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375º.
- Cream sugar and butter for cake then add remaining ingredients.
- Bake in a 9 square pan for 30-40 minutes.
- Cool.
- Mix together frosting ingredients and frost cake when completely cool.
