After Party Fruit Salad and Mac & Cheese

The guests have left. The candles have melted. The least favorite of the cheese and crackers remains on the table. Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 8  ounces pasta (elbow macaroni, shells, etc)
  • 14 cup flour
  • 3  cups milk or 3  cups  cream
  • 14 cup butter
  • 3  cups  leftover cheese
  •  all the leftover  fruit

Directions

  1. Macaroni & Cheese.
  2. Boil and drain pasta. Cook al dente.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  4. Add flour to the butter and make a paste.
  5. Wait for the mixture to bubble.
  6. Add in milk. Stir constantly.
  7. Heat until boiling.
  8. Add cheese and mix constantly until entire mixture is a smooth sauce.
  9. Add cooked pasta.
  10. Pour pasta and cheese mixture into a casserole dish.
  11. Sprinkle with any remaining cheese.
  12. If you have leftover crackers, crumble them and put them on top.
  13. Broil 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes or until the cheese on top browns.
  14. Fruit Salad.
  15. Chop up all your fruit - throw it in a bowl. Allow to sit in the refrigerator overnight so all the fruit flavors combine.
