Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 small onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 small zucchini
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Add bacon and cook until browned.
- add carrot, celery and onion. Sautee for about 8-9 minutes over medium heat until softened.
- add zucchini and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add cabbage, salt and red pepper and cook for 2 minutes until slightly wilted.
- Add garlic and cook for one additional minute.
- Serve.
