1-serving CHEESE puff

Yields: 1 cheese puff

Ingredients

  • 1 12 slices  white bread or 1 12 slices  whole wheat bread (buttered)
  • 1  egg
  • 12 cup milk
  • 14 cup  shredded process American cheese
  • 18 teaspoon  onion salt
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 6 -8  drops  hot pepper sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut breads into strips; place butter sides down along the sides and on the bottom of 10-oz custard cup.
  2. In a bowl, lightly beat egg; add milk, cheese, onion salt, salt and hot pepper sauce (if desired).
  3. Pour into custard cup.
  4. Place on baking sheet and bake at 350* for 35-40 min.
  5. or until puffy and golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately!
