I`m originally from Ohio in the U.S. but married a fabulous girl here in Japan last year. We`re staying here while the daughters finish school. I work in a SOBA (buckwheat noodle) resturaunt and have enjoyed learning more and more about Japanese cooking. I grew up working in a bakery in Ohio, and that has always been my favorite type of cooking. I have to say the bakeries here are wonderful. I enjoy a good doughnut as well as the next guy, but I`ve always hated those places where everything in the case comes from the fryer. My favorite cookbooks are Secrets of a Jewish baker and The BBQ Bible. I love cooking,reading, and martial arts. The one thing that drives me crazy is minute rice. I`d rather eat a styrofoam cup!
