I've been cooking ever since I can remember. As a little girl I pulled a chair up to the cooktop so I could reach. In this day and age people would be mortified of this :-) I'm what I call a basic cook. I like simple, good food with more of a down-home flavor. No exotic cooking for this southern gal. My favorite foods are probably what most consider 'comfort foods'. And there is typically always a dessert in the house.
