I enjoy cooking with what is in peak-season. I believe in fresh, abundant foods when trying out new recipes because I know it brings me the most "bang for my buck" when it comes to healthy food, fresh flavor, and smart spending. (That just leaves it up to me to know what I'm going to make while those ingredients are fresh!) For that reason, I try to do my meal planning, looking forward to the recipes that I need, for what will be in season. I am still learning about my cooking style because, although I love tasting great food, I haven't been required to cook for myself until recently. I want to work on my cooking methods, nutrition, palate, and I want to transform that feeling when you walk into the kitchen from an unsure feeling to a satisfying feeling.
