I love to cook, but I am not very good. I was a latch-key kid growing up, so I stuck to making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and mom did not cook a lot. I love southern and Chinese foods the most (i.e., great sauces, tender meats, amazing desserts). I am a newlywed -- married to a neurologist, who is picky about taste but very concerned about our arteries. We agree it's okay to indulge now and then, but I'd like to learn to make healthier versions of the food we both love. I admire people who are naturals in the kitchen. You are my heroes. I joined because I need help.
