Hello all! I am a recently married college student living in Anchorage, Alaska. My husband travels with in the state for 2 weeks at the least every month. So needless to say I have time on my own. I use this time to work on my homework with out interruption AND to create new meals to try on myself before he comes home. Just before we got married I noticed that I had a lot of recipes laying around but no place to organize them. That's when I jumped online and found this site. It's amazing!! My favorite cookbook would have to be the Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks. BUT the best food comes out of Alton Brown's cookbooks ("I'm Just Here For the Food" and "I'm Just Here For More Food"). His steps and recipes are a little over the top, but when you taste what comes out of it, you know it was well worth the hassle of buying things that you will never use again. My favorite restaurant used to be Skippers (until they took them all out of Alaska). Now it's Red Robin. I love the clam chowder they have. It's fantastic! My favorite dish to cook is ANYTHING that is a one pan/pot/skillet creation. I'm famous for just mixing everything together.
