We live in the country side just outside Canada's capital. I work for the Canadian government, my wife works part-time in our son's companies. We raised a very large family (15 children). The oldest is 42 (2012), the youngest is 19. We now also have 32 beautiful grandchildren (each one is a bright light in our lives). For most of our married life my wife has been a stay-at-home mom (needless to say) and has been the chief cook (and an awesome one I might add). I love to cook also, mostly on week-ends and special events. I spent many years cooking for our Church's youth group week-ends and other church fonctions, weddings/conferences. I loved it but am happy to sit back and let the younger ones do it now. I find myself surfing Recipezaar (now Food.com) often. I either print or save new recipes regularly, then I buy the ingredients on my way home from work so I can cook up a storm on Saturday. We have several fantastic recipes of our own also, some I have posted, others I hope to post some day. I have a recipe for lasagna which (in my opinion) is the best in the world. It was my mother's recipe and we have been making it for about 40 years. I never look for lasagna recipes as I won't find a better one. I finally got the recipe posted.
