Retired, love cooking and experimenting with new flavors/cuisines. Learning quite a bit about Thai dishes and ingredients from new daughter-in-law. My favorite cookbook is the 1973 version of The Joy of Cooking, followed by Fannie Farmer. Within my family, I am sought after for split pea soup, potato soup, and my mom's potato salad. I have a number of favorite restaurants, depending on my mood or craving. I love Outback Steakhouse, Black Angus, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden to name a few.
