I live in the wilderness in the near north of Ontario. I run the router shop at a company that builds bush planes. This year, our new year's resolution is to go on one picnic a month and that requires some planning and trying of new menus, which I enjoy. I loved baking but soon realized that my body was expanding faster than my collection of recipes!! Our choices for dining out at restaurants is very limited. I adore food and wanted to be able to replicate dishes I am served at restaurants in my own home. My husband is very appreciative of my efforts and has developed quite a taste for fine dining. I have just subscribed to Cook's Illustrated magazine and have had great success with every dish I have tried.
