Hi, I never realized how much I would connect with my last name, that is until I started baking! Actually my last name hasn't been Baker for years but that doesn't stop my husband from reminding me (especially around the holidays) I'm a born baker. :) He and I are empty nesters now that our three daughters are grown but I still struggle cooking for only the two of us. It wasn't much of a problem while the girls lived near by bcuz hey were always happy to take the leftovers off our hands. But they all live too far from home now to make regular visits. So I need to get serious about cutting back on the amount of food I prepare. It's not fun having to watch the meals I've put so much time and effort (not to metion the $$) go down the garbage disposal a week later! I know, I know you're wondering, "Why doesn't she freeze"? Cook once eat twice, right? Well, that's something I'm gonna work on too. I need to make sure I know the "freeze" time for certain ingredients. Okay, that's all I guess. For now anyway. I'm looking forward to checking out all the recipes and maybe sharing a few of my own.
