@Chef Seashells
I am retired Nurse due to a disability. I am happily married to my husband Bruce of 20yr's, who is a self proclaimed chef. We have one wonderful child named Jude who was adopted 45min after birth. He is now 5yr's about to turn 6 in August. My husband was the one doing all of the cooking in our household but things changed with his job that he took back in Aug of '06. Now, after 7+ yrs. I am the one doing the cooking and bakeing. This has been a challenge for me, especially with a 5 yr old that becomes picky when he feels like it at the last moment or when my husband comes home with a big bag full of figs and he dose'nt have the time to fix them up. This Zaar site has been a lifesaver to me, and I will contact people as I try out their recipies and as new recepies are developed in my kitchen and have passed the taste test of my family, I will share thoes with my Zaar family. My very favorite cookbook is called "Sesquicentennial Celeberation Cookbook" by First Baptist Church in Wolcottville, Indiana. This was given to me by my Brother-in-law's Parents. It has many wonderful recepies and many little cooking tips that are helpful. I am very passionate first about children, from when they are in their mothers womb and on. I very strongly believe that a child no matter how young or old has the right to have a chance to live in a good enviroment of love for them at all times weather it be with their biological parents or adopted parents or even foster parents. When those little minds are at peace within the peaceful enviroment that they are being raised in and are feed the proper emotional / physical food. Then you will be amazed at what they will become. Dicipline is another key in this endevor. My pet peeves are 1) Children not being taken care of properly. Weather they are still in their mothers woomb or not. If there is any sign that that child is not being cared for then I cannot keep my mouth shut. And then this turns into my husbands pet peeve of me sticking my nose into other peoples business. I have to admit that some balance needs to happen in my life concerning this. 2) Driving in a Walmart/ Grocery store parking lot and some crazy person is driving in the wrong direction looking for a parking lot. I first make sure it is not me before I say anything. HA, HA. 3) Animals being mistreated in any manner will get on me like "white on rice!"
