I am an American living in France, about halfway between Paris and Disneyland. My husband is French, and together we have a 5 year-old little girl. I enjoy entertaining and trying interesting new recipes whenever we have company over for dinner. It has become a personal mission to show my French friends and family that Americans do not eat fast food 3 times a day, and that we also know a thing or two about good cooking! :-) As some ingredients are very difficult, sometimes impossible, to find in France, it has been a real challenge, and a pleasure, to adapt and make American recipes using French ingredients. Aside from cooking, I also enjoy photography, sewing and singing; and I LOVE books, particularly books on medieval and Renaissance history. One of my goals upon arriving in France 5-1/2 years ago was to visit as many cities as possible on the route Joan of Arc took during her military campaign - a goal which I fulfil little by little. This year I would like to go back to school to get my masters in medieval history.
