I am a first generation Canadian. My family hails from Salisbury, NC (and they all still live there!). I have been inspired by our maternal tradition of home-style Carolina cooking. It is difficult to find many staple ingredients in Canada, so we tend to stock up when we drive South. Likewise for my southern family, they have become addicted to pure maple syrup and extra old artisan cheeses! I have recently undertaken the task of writing out our family recipes to create a giant collection of deliciousness. Recipezaar is a fantastic resource when looking for new additions!
