I am accountant and recently found out I was hypoglycemic. One day in Jan 2006 while cooking dinner, I suddenly became jittery, dizzy, weak, lost all energy and knew I was quickly losing consciousness. I struggled to the phone to dial 911 knowing I lived alone. I had no idea what was happening to me but I was plenty scared. I know I never want to “feel” that way again. I know now my blood sugar took a steep dive downward. I began researching sugar highs and lows and the part that nutrition plays. Realizing my past eating habits was a wake up call and I knew to avoid another terrifying sugar drop feeling, I had to quickly change everything about my eating habits. Not only is my blood sugar stabilized, but I feel better and have more energy than I have my whole life.
